Our trip to Alabama

The kids and I rode back with Gigi after Easter to spend several days in Andalusia seeing family and friends that we hadn't seen since we moved. We were very excited to go to Alabama but we were not sure how the car ride was going to go with Landon and Reagan. My children have never been fond of car rides around town much less for 10 hrs. Reagan has improved a ton since she has gotten older but Landon still can't stand to ride in the car for very long at one time. I will say however that he did amazingly well on this trip. After a couple days delay due to Landon getting sick we headed to Alabama about 1:15 in the afternoon on Friday. We actually made it over half way and spent the night in Covington LA. We got up the next morning and finished our drive arriving in Andy around lunch time on Saturday. Poppy was waiting for us when we got there and the never ending requests to ride his tractor (John Deere lawnmower) and four wheeler (or turleeler as Landon calls it) began. Reagan and Landon LOVED them both. They would not even let Poppy get out of his truck in the afternoons before they would meet him at his truck door yelling to ride. As any good Poppy would he took them every single day to ride both. During the week when Gigi and Poppy were working I took the kids down to the train depot in town and took some pictures of them on the trains. Trains are something that Landon loves and he was very excited to be able to climb on them and pretend to drive them. We also went to see my Nanny in Auburn our last weekend in town. We went down to Samford Hall (one of my favorite places) and took pics with the kids and Nanny. After that we went to the park in Auburn and then out to eat. We had a great time visiting with her and I know she loved watching the kids run around. We had a great trip as we always do when we go back home. My greatest wish is that it was closer so we could go whenever we wanted.

Landon also showed us he didn't need a tricycle
anymore. He rode Reagan's old bike at my
parents house.
